Alternative to the Ouija board
What is a good alternative to the Ouija board? If you would like to engage with your own subconscious, but are still no good feeling have about the Ouija board, then listen to this feeling and just leave the Ouija board for what it is. Maybe one day you will be ready, maybe never.
If you still remain curious about the answers lodged in your subconscious regarding questions you are wandering around with, it might be an idea to look into an alternative to the Ouija board that is suitable for you.
Having a conversation with yourself, getting to know yourself better, definitely falls under creative psychology and has nothing to do with paranormal practices in any sense. The boards below are great for taking a peek into what is going on in your subconscious and - through interesting question sessions - unearthing useful answers from it.
Angel Guidance Board:
This beautiful shiny board comes folded in quarters in a box including two crystal dice, four coloured angel pawns to move along the paths on the board and a 49-page instruction booklet. There are 12 'spokes' on the circular wheel in the centre of the board. Each spoke represents a path of life. These twelve paths are: home, romance, money, career, life purpose, children, family and friends, health, spiritual path, psychic development, yes or no, when will it happen?
The questioner focuses on the question and chooses which of the 12 paths he wants to take with his pawn to gain more insight about it.
Suppose; you are ready for a change regarding work. And you want to know the best thing to do now to both enjoy your work, earn more money in a way that also makes your family happy. If so, you could choose to take the work, money and children paths with your pawn. In addition, if you would also like to know how this career switch could affect your marriage, you could also add the path 'romance' here.
Choose to walk one path at a time. Set out a maximum of four pawns for the paths you want to walk and then roll the dice for each pawn. If you want to walk four paths, you therefore roll the dice four times. Obviously, you make each pawn take the number of steps on the path of your choice that you have rolled the dice for.
When your pawn on the path of your choice has come to rest on a word, you can look it up in the booklet to discover what it means to you. What the answer is or how the insight is related to your question. If you want to ask questions related to multiple topics, the combined messages you receive through the board can offer you many new and wise insights.
The Angel Guidance Board was created by Doreen Virtue. The board is no longer made but can sometimes still be found on second-hand websites or auction sites. For fans of Doreen Virtue's insight cards; they also work very well with this board!

Pathfinder (Psychic Talking Board):
Another great alternative to the Ouija board is the Pathfinder. The Pathfinder is designed to help you find your way to your own inner wisdom. The richly illustrated board contains 36 keywords, 12 Power animals, 11 Sacred stones, 12 plants and 12 dream symbols, plus of course the numbers 0-9 and the letters of the alphabet. Pathfinder comes with a specially engraved round transparent indicator.
Pathfinder focuses mainly on Shamanism, on the wisdom of Mother Nature.
It offers intriguing, meaningful and insightful answers to all your questions and has a conducive effect on improving your own creativity and intuition.
The included 32-page instruction booklet contains clear explanations on how to use Pathfinder and a detailed description of all the symbols you will encounter on the board. Pathfinder was created by Amy Zerner and Monte Farber.
Extra tip: If you place a custom-made piece of plexiglass on the board during use, it will promote the gliding of the indicator and prevent any damage to the board.
Introduction
To get a gentle introduction to (one of) the three spirit boards of Amy Zerner and Monte Farber described above, the following might be a nice method if you do not yet dare to work with the indicator (pointer).
- Take a seat behind the board of your choice and take a bag of gems, runes or dice, depending on your personal preference. Gemstones have their own meanings, as do rune stones and the numerology of dice.
- Now intuitively take the number of stones, runes or dice from the bag you want to cast with.
- Close your eyes, cast out the stones on the board and see which stone has fallen on which symbol. While interpreting the messages, each time take the combination of the meaning of the stone and the symbol it fell on the board.
This way, you get beautiful messages without fear of doing anything wrong.

Angel board:
Are you looking for an alternative to the Ouija board without having to compromise too much on the original idea or premise of the board? Then the Angel sign is a good choice for you. Actually, this is also a Ouija board, but executed with purely positive illustrations like loving angels, coloured in heavenly pastel shades and the letters, words and numbers printed in a friendly and inviting font.
A sign that gives you positive mood, reassurance and emotional protection is already half the battle of a positive Ouija (Angel) session.
When using all of the above, though, it is very important that you choose a time and setting where you are truly 100% at ease. Handy is to use the safe step-by-step plan and in doing so, use the do's and don'ts observe.
