Extended children's horoscope

What is your child like as a baby, how does he or she behave as a toddler, what does his or her puberty have in store for you and how does your darling dry up as a teenager? Aries (March 21 - April 20)

Baby: The Aries baby will soon want to do everything himself. Rolling, sitting, standing, as a parent you will need to have eyes in the back of your head to prevent this little wild man from bumping or falling off something. In the process, this little one also quickly shows his or her enormous willpower. Patience, on the other hand, is not baby's strong suit. When it doesn't work after a few tries; a deafening concert of screams.

Toddler: Disobedience all around. The Aries toddler is no fan of the word 'no'. This child also has a lot of energy. Dribbling through the house, wanting to grab everything, knock it over, try it out and do it all over again. And again. Give this toddler a drum or a scooter to get rid of its energy and go outside a lot with the lamb, especially if your own sleep is dear to you as well. Make the child tired!

Puber: You have an Aries child, but actually you have three. This is how it feels. This one child plays pranks on three at a time. Pretty impulsive too. And cross, what more could you want. Moreover, this fiery adolescent has a very short fuse, which often degenerates into abusive behaviour and throwing things. Fortunately, it is always over quickly. Aries is very honest and will not lie to you.

Teenager: The Aries teenager does not mince words and is directly honest about who they like or dislike. Although the growing Aries is firm in his or her shoes, he or she can sometimes act a bit impulsively. Doing first and thinking later is what often goes wrong, resulting in regret afterwards. Dishonesty and injustice is what the young Aries will always fight against.

Taurus (21 April - 20 May)

Baby: The bull child is a quiet baby who sleeps and eats at regular times. Since he or she likes almost everything, feeding is usually not a problem. The little bull does not cry often but also does very little. Your child quietly lets everything pass and often discovers by chance that he or she can do something new without having put any effort into it.

Toddler: Stiertje is a real teddy bear but sharing is tricky. Although playing outside is a treat for him or her, walking by himself will sometimes be a hassle. "Lift!" is one of the first words this child learns. Creativity is in it early on so don't leave pens or pencils lying around, no wall is safe for the bull calf.

Adolescent: This growing child is somewhat lazy and sometimes really can't get ahead. Doing homework, walking the dog, doing a chore; pfff. Does it have to? Fortunately, your son or daughter is pretty tidy by nature so his or her room won't be too much of a mess. Also, Stiertje is fairly tolerant, there won't be an argument any time soon unless you really cross his or her boundary. Then a huge stubbornness comes into play.

Teenager: The adolescent Taurus is calm and composed but nevertheless does not allow himself to be talked into anything. Taurus has an opinion of its own that you may or may not agree with but certainly cannot change overnight. The laziness of early childhood has given way to sluggishness. He or she needs some help to get going but once busy, his or her perseverance is enormous.

Gemini (21 May - 20 June)

Baby: The sound of your voice and the tone in which you talk to your baby quickly calms him or her down. However, this little wriggle is a light sleeper, very agile and easily bored. It is precisely being as quiet as a mouse that wakes little Gemini up from the slightest noise. Teach him or her to sleep through the sound of the hoover and you are already one-nil ahead.

Toddler: Because this child is so busy with all kinds of things, it does not allow itself the time to go potty. Therefore, toilet-training usually takes a little longer than for other toddlers. However, little Gemini will talk your ear off earlier than average. Talking is ingrained early on. This child is super social and will make friends easily at a young age.

Adolescent: This adolescent is difficult to keep in line, both physically and mentally. Physically, this child is super agile so allowing lots of outdoor play and sports is no luxury. Mentally, too, this child needs all the freedom he can get. It is very important for young twins to have their own opinion. Be sweet, patient and understanding with your child without losing sight of your limits; he or she absolutely needs this.

Teenager: The almost adult Gemini does not like to stay in one place for a long time. As a result, in terms of sports and education, he or she will like to try different things, not particularly beneficial for your wallet, as expensive subscriptions and studies. Learning to make choices is therefore important for this child. Friendships are fun but superficial, teenage twins do not (yet) have the patience for in-depth conversations, that will come later.

Lobster (21 June - 20 July)

Baby: The lobster baby is a sensitive child who is easily startled by noises or strange faces. This baby is quite shy and shy and will constantly look around to see if you are still around. Cancer loves to be gently tickled or rocked to sleep. On the other hand, they can suddenly start crying and stop just as abruptly. You'll never know why.

Toddler: At preschool, your child will want to play with teacher rather than with the other children. Most other children are just too busy or too noisy for the little Cancerian, so he or she may prefer to crawl away in a corner. Pay close attention to what you do or say in the presence of your little sprout because the child hears everything and will also remember it all down to the smallest detail. And throw it at you mercilessly later on.

Adolescent: This child is so gentle and sensitive that you have to teach it to bite off at an early age. Indoors, this normally works fine but outdoors, your child may need a little help with this. Your son or daughter values homeliness and will decorate their room warmly and cosily with cushions, candles and other knickknacks.

Teenager: The teenage crab does not like being in the spotlight and will therefore do everything to avoid being in the spotlight by accident. What plays a big role here is that he or she cares enormously about what others think of him or her. Furthermore, your child is adaptable, friendly and other people often find him or her much more interesting than he or she thinks.

Leo (July 21 - August 21)

Baby: This cub has a great need for company and will absolutely roar if it feels lonely. A mobile with sound above the cot or playpen is therefore highly desirable. In general, the little Lion is a cheerful baby who will smile at everyone, especially if he or she finds that this brings the desired result; attention.

Toddler: It won't be long before the lion toddler has gathered a whole host of admirers around him. Lion toddler is a budding entertainer and will love to show off his or her talents. Dancing, singing, being funny, everything is to be expected. This child does have quite a mind of its own, though, and as a parent you have to be strong in your shoes not to let this toddler waltz all over you.

Adolescent: As an adolescent, the Leo is charming and wins everyone over, but as this often gets your child what he or she wants, it is important to keep that rapidly growing ego in check. On the other hand, this child is very caring and generous to others, has little fear and will always stand up for the weak.

Teenager: This young adult is open, not always tactful but definitely honest. He is quick to see through others who are less straightforward and is not afraid to say something. Furthermore, Leo has no problem giving unsolicited advice to others, but it always comes from a good heart.

Virgo  (August 22 - September 22)

Baby: Baby Virgo is a difficult eater. If given the breast or the bottle, this child will regularly suffer from cramps and when ready for solid food, he or she will not infrequently gag in discomfort or even shut up tight. However, this child does love attention, both from mum and dad and from others and likes to be cuddled.

Toddler: The little Virgo loves to play but preferably one-on-one. Alone with you, with siblings or with a friend. This keeps things calm and orderly for him or her, something the Virgo child likes very much. Eating can also still be a problem. Don't worry too much if the plate doesn't go empty and, if necessary, allow your child a piece of fruit.

Puber: The slightest stain on clothes, items that are crooked or a flub in the clothes that doesn't sit comfortably is reason enough for the young Virgo to get cranky. Criticism of others is also not swallowed; your child spares no one. Yet Virgo also wants to please and will therefore do anything to keep you happy. Helping in the household, running an errand or... clicking about brother or sister.

Teenager: The teenage virgin needs a calm environment but sometimes fails to see that he or she is the one causing unrest themselves. For example, by complaining or criticising and sometimes has a somewhat gloomy outlook on things which can cause a relaxed atmosphere to turn. The Virgo can come across as shy in a charming way which generates a lot of sympathy from others.

Libra (September 23 - October 22)

Baby: Little Libra loves company and makes no secret of it. A big toothy smile is the rule rather than the exception. On the other hand, this baby does not like to be alone and will quickly feel lonely. Talking or singing to your baby a lot, even when you are not in the room with him or her, helps.

Toddler: Your toddler is full of ideas and loves to be creative. Drawing, colouring, claying, all fun. However, your child does need approval and confirmation a lot and will want to help you with everything. Cooperating and sharing does not cost Libra any effort but putting your baby to bed can be tricky. Especially if you accustom your baby to sleeping in bed with you; teach him or her to do that again.

Adolescent: The Libra adolescent is very compliant and dislikes arguments which means you will experience few problems with parenting. However, your son or daughter is somewhat easy-going and careless which can especially cause hassles with homework and keeping their own room tidy. Being gentle is also not his or her strong suit. Talking loudly, singing and laughing are things you can take into account.

Teenager: Although Libra can sometimes appear somewhat aloof and especially tough to others, inside this teenager is actually cheerful, accommodating, gentle and warm-hearted. The somewhat hard mask is inadvertently caused by a certain sobriety with which Libra likes to approach things. He or she needs this to be able to make the right choices. Sometimes this young adult fails to keep promises. Often because something intervenes that he or she has not thought about.

Scorpio (October 23 - November 22)

Baby: A little Scorpio can put up a huge throat when he or she doesn't like something and, to be fair, this is quite often. The bad thing is that this baby also just won't stop roaring until the goal is achieved. This is of course not the intention; you don't want to reward nagging and grumbling. Staying calm and offering distraction in the form of a toy or sound works well with this baby.

Toddler: The Scorpio is not too fond of new visitors and can be bossy towards other children. However, it does have a keen interest in learning new things. The little Scorpio is eager to learn and persistent and will keep going until something succeeds. This child also loves repetition. Watching the same film over and over again or hearing the same song and then repeating it phonetically or singing it; gold!

Adolescent: The Scorpio adolescent will constantly seek your limits and see if he or she can't cross them just a little. Your son or daughter will not always follow the rules and when he or she does, not everything is what it seems. Your child will bravely say 'yes, mum' and then completely go his or her own way without you knowing.

Teenager: The teenage Scorpio has a short fuse and is highly inflammable. Friendships should not be superficial because the Scorpio likes in-depth conversations. Especially about the other person as he or she does not like to talk about themselves. You can, however, have a good laugh with this type and go out for a walk. Young Scorpio is a people magnet so there is always something happening.

Sagittarius (November 23 - December 20)

Baby: Sagittarius is very agile and not much for cuddling. This child enjoys attention but can feel a bit trapped by too much physical affection, resulting in stretching. In general, this child sits and stands surprisingly quickly and takes its first steps before the first year of life. The bed and playpen are not his or her favourite places.

Toddler: The little Sagittarius likes to have fun and loves crazy games, silly voices and other clownish behaviour. A puppet show or a marionette will make him or her very happy, provided of course you are the one who makes it all talk and dance. This toddler is not at all shy and is open to new things at a young age. However, your child is competitive and not a very good loser.

Adolescent: The young Sagittarius is a veritable whirlwind who sometimes really walks in seven locks at once, because clumsy. Because he or she is so truculent, chances are you will regularly end up at the emergency room. Furthermore, his or her room easily degenerates into half a petting zoo with guinea pigs, tame rats, a stick insect and, if things go wrong, a giant unattractive snail. The Sagittarius child likes to care.

Teenager: This young adult is very fond of his or her freedom and will want to travel independently from an early age. The teenage Sagittarius is communicatively strong, enterprising, adventurous and above all restless because he or she is always afraid of missing something. Because of its quick way of (thinking ahead), this child always gets back on his or her feet although it certainly doesn't hurt to keep watching (secretly if necessary).

Capricorn  (December 21 - January 19)

Baby: The Capricorn baby is a serious and inquisitive child that pays attention to everything and learns new things quickly. After the Capricorn has carefully observed and absorbed everything, he or she will imitate it and keep trying until they succeed. Unfamiliar people your child would rather lose than get rid of and it makes no secret of it either; they won't crack a smile. A deep frown is all they can get.

Toddler: The Capricorn toddler wants to do everything right and already sets the bar pretty high for himself. To prevent your child from developing fear of failure, it is important to keep a close eye on him or her and not ask too much of him or her. Capricorn will want to obey your rules, so it will not be a very difficult toddler. In fact, your child will even tend to bring up his or her friends very personally.

Adolescent: Because Capricorn is a real rule-breaker or cousin, it is important not to let this adolescent walk all over you. Before you know it, he or she will be the one setting the rules at home, something you obviously don't want. Even if it is well-intentioned, buck is the child, you are the parent. Furthermore, this is a down-to-earth and firm adolescent who knows how to get things done and is also extremely loyal.

Teenager: The Capricorn teenager sometimes comes across as a bit cool but this is mainly due to the fact that he or she does not like bullsh*t. Get to the point or leave it. Furthermore, Capricorn is already busy planning for the future so that he or she has as little to worry about later on. Although Capricorn values branded goodies and other things of quality, he or she is also willing to work hard for it.

Aquarius  (20 January - 18 February)

Baby: Little Aquarius is anything but predictable. Just when you think you know what your baby likes and doesn't like, what his or her day and night rhythms are and at what times you should feed your child, baby Aqua surprises you by suddenly starting to cry and waking up early, unexpectedly sleeping for ridiculously long periods, refusing to feed or eating your ears off. Now just hope you are a bit of a flexible parent.

Toddler: Your child wants everything that is not allowed and everything that you approve of is far from interesting to this contrary toddler. Turn a commandment into a challenge and make something you forbid unattractive to your child, that already saves a lot of struggle. Furthermore, he or she wants to do everything themselves, from eating to dressing and everything in between. At preschool, this child struggles to follow the rules. And not only there.

Adolescent: As a parent of an Aquarius adolescent, you will regularly get calls from a complaining teacher who cannot manage to keep your child in check. The young Aquarius has a problem with rules and any form of authority so get ready for it. On the other hand, your child is super social, friendly, not lazy and has a very high regard for friendships.

Teenager: The young adult Aquarius will do anything to help someone, provided he or she likes that person. If this is not the case, the Aquarius is implacable and the other person can enjoy the hornpipe. Furthermore, Aquarius is independent early on and will not let others tell him or her anything from then on. This person is a bit rebellious, but on the other hand he or she is also very spontaneous, compassionate and definitely not a dime a dozen type.

Fish (February 19 - March 20)

Baby: The Little Fish is a sensitive baby who has to get very used to life outside the womb for the first time. Lots of cuddling and rocking in a warm bath are things your baby likes very much, it reminds him or her of the time in the womb. Although all babies are sensitive, little Vis senses the mood of the parents even more than other babies and reacts very strongly to the atmosphere at home.

Toddler: The Pisces toddler is incredibly well behaved and compliant, until the moment this toddler gets something into his head that 'has to' happen. At first, the Little Fish will try to manipulate you with sweet words, but if this doesn't work, a big tantrum will ensue. The same tactics are used with peers. Yet, thanks to a huge imagination, this child can also entertain himself perfectly well on his own.

Adolescent: Young Fish has a great sense of humour that makes you really laugh with your child. However, your child is sometimes a bit absent-minded which sometimes makes you doubt whether it is hard of hearing or East Indian deaf. Neither is true, your Fish is just regularly in (daytime) dreamland. Furthermore, the adolescent fish is understanding, helpful, accommodating and very social; certainly not the most difficult child to raise.

Teenager: The teenage Fish values nostalgia at a young age and will enjoy looking at old photos and asking questions about his or her early childhood. The Fish will also seek some form of spirituality around this age. The Little Fish is also not afraid to step out of his or her own comfort zone to challenge himself or herself in various ways.
