Cookie declaration

This website uses cookies to provide you with an optimal user experience.

What is a cookie?

A cookie is a simple small file sent with the pages of this website and stored by your browser on the hard drive of your computer or other device. The information stored therein can be sent back to my server the next time you visit.

Use of session cookies

With the help of a session cookie I can see which pages you have viewed during your visit to my website. Based on the browsing behaviour of my visitors, I can adapt the content of my website to their needs. These cookies are automatically deleted as soon as you close your web browser.

Use of permanent cookies

With the help of a permanent cookie I can recognise you when you visit my website again. This is a so-called functional cookie. This allows the website to be set specifically to your preferences.

Even if you have given your consent for cookies to be placed, I can remember this through a cookie. This avoids you having to repeat your preferences every time, thus saving time and making it easier for you to use my website. You can delete permanent cookies via your browser settings.

List of cookies

Cookies may be set from WordPress, the content management system I use. These are functional cookies. The retention period is 1 year. More information on this can be found in the WordPress privacy policy.

Cookies may be set from AddtoAny, a social media sharing tool. These are functional cookies. These cookies remember your social media profiles, so you do not have to log in every time. The retention period is 1 year. More information can be found in the privacy policy of AddtoAny.

Cookies are set from Google Analytics. These are analytical cookies. The retention period is 2 years. More information can be found in the Google Analytics privacy policy.

Google Analytics

Through my website, a cookie is set by the US company Google, as part of its Analytics service. This concerns an analytical cookie. I use this service to track and get reports on how visitors use the website.

Google may provide this information to third parties if Google is legally required to do so, or to the extent that third parties process the information on Google's behalf. I have no influence on this. I have not allowed Google to use the analytics information obtained for other Google services.

The information collected by Google is anonymised as much as possible. I have requested Google to mask your IP address and have also entered into a processing agreement with Google.

Social media

My website includes buttons to promote web pages (liking) or share (tweeting) on the social networks LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook and Google+. These buttons work through snippets of code that come from these parties themselves.

Cookies are set by means of this code. I have no influence on this. Please read the privacy statements of the companies mentioned (which may change regularly) to read what they do with your (personal) data that they process via these cookies.
