Correcting or editing text

Having a text corrected or edited. Yes, you can come to Open Kaart Productions for this too. With my now infamous red pen, I mark everything that is misspelled, does not read well or is simply superfluous.

Correct

If you only want the text corrected, I will check the entire text for spelling, grammar, punctuation and double spacing.

Editing

If you need help with editing, I focus mainly on sentence structure and making the text come across as you had in mind for your target audience. If necessary, I will remove unnecessary words and/or rewrite parts of the text, without losing the essence of the content.

Of course, editing your text also includes correcting it.

After I have checked and double-checked the text for you, you will receive from me the original file clearly indicating which corrections and/or changes I have made, plus an entirely new corrected and/or edited file ready for use.

That's right. Writing really well is not easy. Even if you have the most creative ideas, it is sometimes difficult to put your thoughts into words in a way that is also pleasant for others to read. What is important here is that you consider your target audience. What are their interests, what is their age and what is their level of education?

Furthermore, issues such as volume and findability on the internet can play a role. How long can a particular text be, how many words can an article contain, and last but not least; how do you get the piece to the highest possible position in Google?
